PTO
Today has big plans. The national publication has asked DM&P Information
Systems to help them create a national network of parent/teacher groups.
DM&P Information Systems first set up a computer network that
allowed PTO’s on-site and remote employees to share files,
access the internet, and communicate with each other more efficiently.
Anticipating the addition of new offices and PTO employees who choose
to work remotely, DM&P Information Systems designed a network
that could also easily accommodate PTO’s anticipated growth.
Saving PTO Today time, money, and aggravation, DM&P Information
Systems installed the publication’s phone system and provided
vendor coordination with PTO Today’s ISP and phone company.
Currently, DM&P Information Systems is developing software to
replace many of PTO’s manual – and thus cumbersome – customer
service functions. The new software will integrate with the publisher’s
website and allow PTO to easily track member schools and associated
contact names; track members’ purchases at PTO-sponsored trade
shows; allow members to sign up for PTO events; manage magazine subscriptions;
and interface with vendors.
